My last guests were slightly different from the usual cycletourists. A young South African woman and her support crew. She's doing an epic fund-raising triathlon around the South Island http://www.newzealandepic.com. A total distance of 2,262km or the equivalent of 10 Iron Man triathlons in 25 days.
She's raising money for bicycles for school kids through the World Bicycle Relief charity. As of yesterday she had raised enough funds for 50 bikes.

The world hasn't completely gone to custard.
