Unless you're me, and doing 15 today. Then it'll still take a while.
The issue is I have a minor but chronic posterior tibialis tendonitis problem. Essentially the inside of my ankle is irritated by running, I have done all the exercises and have orthotics to compensate for my over-pronation, and it's manageble as long as I run 9ish minute miles for an hour 2-3 times/week. Pushing more miles or faster is going to make the problem worse.
The best solution is to ride instead of running, but since my schedule really only allows 2 rides/week (with an occasional bonus 3rd ride) I have chosen to run 2-3x/week to complement my exercise regimen.
TL;DR - Running is stoopid
