Have you considered whether or not you could lift the trike once you got it folded? The combination of arthritis and short stature (know the latter well) makes lifting a bulky heavy package pretty difficult. I've tried that when moving a non-folding 34 pound trike through a narrow door and it can be no picnic. There are a very few high seating tadpole trikes. Anything that looks like the traditional granny trike is going to be heavy whether it folds or not. I suggest you take your question to Bentrideronline and ask the people there Trikes - BentRider Online Forums. If you are terrified of speed it might be because the very high seating trikes are way more prone to tipping over. I love a fast ride.
