Choosing the best folding multispeed trike

No store carries them so must order unseen and unrefundable. A senior with balance issues so must be a trike. Travel a great deal must be foldable. Severe arthritis and lymphodema so must not be difficult to fold. want good quality. Know nothing about merits of different brakes. Previously had a quad made from two folding Dahons.
Have researched and come up with this short list
True bicycle Fold and Go
Di Blasi R 34
Mission Space Genie
Moskoka 6 speed folding with add on electrical package from EzBc
Any input would be most appreciated.
I am 5'4", riding would be on pavement or maintained bike trails. Speed terrifies me.

There are lots more folding trikes than that. Names escape me but the usual high quality suspects (Greenspeed, Performer, Azub... ) all make folding trikes. Mostly tadpole (one wheel in rear) are you shopping for Delta (two wheels in rear)? That may be the issue. I would contact "Utah Trikes" and tell them my needs.

the True Bicycle Fold and Go you mentioned makes a decent one.

Where are you located? There's a bike shop in Minneapolis that specializes in folding bikes. Brompton, one of the best of the folding bikes has a store finder on their website:

I live in Canada winter in US. Have not heard of most you mentioned Leiseturm.Actually did my measurements tonight and only the DiBlasi would fit. I am looking fir reg Trike. , not a tadpole fir certain. The Delta style were panned by dealers I spoke to. Looked at Pashley but it would take about 4 months. Opinions on Di Blasi please.

Finding information on folding bikes here is going to be tough because they're rare on the market. And I've never owned one either so I can only go by what the internet says. One review was not very friendly toward the DI Blasi scan down toward the bottom of this page: Folding Bike Buyer's Guide - Best folding bicycles reviewed The DiBlasi only got a one star rating out of 5.

The o.p. is looking for a trike, not a bike, and I have to admit the DiBlasi folding trike is darn slick. Check it out:
. But that kind of slick comes with trade-off's, weight being only one of them. What is 21.7kg in pounds anyway? Bet you lunch that weight doesn't include vital equipment like tires, reflectors, handlebars or pedals...

In 2016 upright style configured trikes are mostly relegated to the senior and disabled sector of cyclists. They have their devotees in the United Kingdom, but most everywhere else they do not scream value or performance. Any delta trike will have a much lower center of gravity and resulting stability in turns than any upright adult tricycle. At least a couple of them fold.

..., 'family car' cycles of Europe, cycle rickshaws in Asia and of course worldwide use as cargo and industrial cycles.

Not only not a review of the trike, but interested parties should note that's a review of a model of folding bike DiBlasi has not made in several years.

Doesn't have the cachet of a Velotechnik, but more affordable.

Thanks all for your input. Certainly the velocity is interesting but would not (able to manage getting down on a tadpole. Still a tad too big.(sorry). Did not see any Deltas there. The second 82 cm measuements is the issue.
The Di Blasi weighs 48 pounds and the folding measurements. Width is only 16 in. That gets it thro doors,on luggage racks, into cars.
Would take a Delta but have not found a suitable folding one. Thanks again for all your input

Have you considered whether or not you could lift the trike once you got it folded? The combination of arthritis and short stature (know the latter well) makes lifting a bulky heavy package pretty difficult. I've tried that when moving a non-folding 34 pound trike through a narrow door and it can be no picnic. There are a very few high seating tadpole trikes. Anything that looks like the traditional granny trike is going to be heavy whether it folds or not. I suggest you take your question to Bentrideronline and ask the people there Trikes - BentRider Online Forums. If you are terrified of speed it might be because the very high seating trikes are way more prone to tipping over. I love a fast ride.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

Mrs. Grouch and I own a Catrike 559 and a Catrike Trail. Both fold but the trail, which has a 20" rear wheel, folds a bit more compactly.

In my opinion, both trikes are very well designed and are tons of fun to ride. Folding one, once you've gotten the process down, is about a 5 minute job. Both have casters that make it easier to roll them around folded. Weight is around 40 pounds. Even folded, it's still a fairly bulky package. Also, not cheap.

If you're on the 50+ list I don't need to explain TANSTAAFL. The folding Pacific Carryall
trike weighs under 23 pounds ready-to-ride and measures 13x22x38 inches folded. Single speed with two-speed option. Relatively inexpensive compared with many of the suggestions here. Built by a large cycle manufacturing company, on the market for years, sold worldwide.
