Thank you all so much for your detailed feedback and advice! I'm still familiarising myself with technical terms and being able to identify specific parts and their functions. As for the frame, I was heavily suspicious of the thick paint and what seemed even to my newbie eyes to be no distinguishing details to verify authenticity and condition.
