So, this is a first...

Guy buys a nicely polished 80's era Campagnolo seat post from me on eBay. Day he receives it, he requests a refund, because he is certain it's a counterfeit.

I sent him a return mailing label and will happily give him a refund- I mean, who needs an unhappy customer- but that's a first for me. A counterfeit Campagnolo seat post? Really? And based on the shipping address, the buyer (whose name, location and company will be withheld), works for a major bicycle component manufacturing company. Which means, one presumes, he oughta know, right?

Must admit I was ready to just discount it as buyer's remorse, but then wondered...anybody ever heard of such a thing?

Not trying to start another 'I hate eBay because..." thread, because I really DO like eBay. I buy a lot of stuff there, and sell things from time to time. Just...wondering.
