Yeah, I believe he was talking about that one.. I had that one, originally, as well.. It was awful. Well, for schraeder valves, it was okay, but at this point, only my kid's bike has those and she's riding the wife's road bike more and more anyway.. The slip-chuck supplied with the pump was essentially like the one I linked to except it was made of black plastic which quickly degraded with regular use.
The screw-on thing tended to unscrew removable valve cores while unscrewing.... OP experienced it, so have I. Terrible design.
It's a pity, too, as the pump LOOKS great.
In addition to the chuck problems, I find that the amount of air it pushes per stroke seems pretty pathetic. I tried a buddy's floor pump once and was (ahem) floored at how quickly it pumped.
