I'd just get the cheapest one I could find to get the tag then take the blinkers off. I used to live in Michigan and still vacation there every summer. I have upgraded off-road motorcycles to get a license plate and as soon as I get the plate take off all the extra DOT stuff I don't need for anything but getting the tag. Law Enforcement just checks for the tag and either can't be bothered or don't care if the motorcycle has all the stuff to make it road legal. It's stupid.
Ah, I actually like a lot of tech stuff - if I found a turn signal system I liked well enough, I'd probably buy some for my non-e-bikes that I ride on the road.
My handlebars on some of my bikes look like the cockpit panel from a jet plane some times with all of the tech I put on there!
