Some of these dumbo don't understand the concept of "w/kg." That's ok. That is no need to teach them how to train smarter.

Well genius I'm still in base and my CP30 (my average power for 30min) is 279w. I don't start build phase for another two weeks. I guess my coach isn't as smart as bottom of the pack Cat 4 like you (BTW my coach one of the most respected coaches in Texas). Like I said earlier you numbers are ave and I'd be more interested in seeing your CP values.

FWIW I'm 43 (closing fast on 44) 5'10" and 154lbs or approx 69kg. After seeing pics of 600DA on this board if he is claiming he's 59kg (130lbs) I'm calling BS.

I hope you guys realize how much 300watts is...let me put it this way...my coach rode to a sixth place at the junior world championships (over in europe) only producing 50 more watts. Now granted 50 watts it a pretty big margin, none the less, it's pretty impressive to average that.
If that was a road race then those numbers were for more 2-3 hours. That is a hell of long time to produce that much power. Also your coach most likely rode the race smart and didn't do much work in the begining which would make is ave even lower. Chances are he could produce even more power if he needed too.

To put more persepective on the illustrious 600DA yesterday I was doing corner sprints on my neighborhood 'crit' course. The course is an up and down loop, slight up hill then a slight down hill. On the three corners that I sprint in and out of I was producing 920-980w. I would then coast the back side on my cool down and my ave power 270-310w for a 2:25s lap. I'm still in base and no where near peaking. I'm a Cat 4 next season and will be doing a mix of open Cat 4 and 40+ masters races. I have an excellent coach who has helped many Austin riders to national status. I'm not posting these numbers to brag, because they are nothing to brag about, they are just average numbers for this time of year.

To really understand where 600DA is coming from go here.
