The Museum which houses all of Gino Bartali's artifacts is in trouble. Gino donated all of his racing memorabilia to it before his death and the museum was built right across from the home where he was born, in Ponte a Ema, Province of Florence, Italy.

Besides being a great campionissimo, Bartali was honored by the holocaust museum in Israel for his efforts to save lives during the WW II occupation in Italy. This great man's memories must be preserved!
The museum is currently being run by volunteers and there is not even enough money to keep the lights on, so it only opens by appointment.

Please re-post this. We want to get as many signatures as possible so that the Italian government knows that enough people care about Gino Bartali's legacy.
