I drink and ride. For me, it's a conscious decision NOT to drink and drive, and when I bike home after a few drinks I take back roads with little or no traffic (b/c I don't want to get hit by drunk drivers) and I use lights for visibility and a bell to alert pedestrians.

Biking intoxicated is illegal here (CO) and technically you can get a DUI that counts against your drivers license (which I think is absurd), but I do it with no harm or risk to anyone but myself, and I think it's the right thing to do. Drunk driving, on the other hand, is flat-out wrong and often murderous.
