I have an Arabesque FD, so all the shifting bits will "match".

ldmataya is a genius, as the cast iron faux painting was the first thing that came to mind when I saw these wheels at the thrift shop. I've been planning to do it all along, and was going to wait to share the pics, but even I am wavering about it.

pastorbobnlnh: good memories there, my dad rode an Atala with Valentino shifting. (well, the memories of the shifting are not so good)

It's a fun city ride, I'm leaving the paint as is, with a clear coat.

I had an RD tab that worked for the Arabesque, and was the same thickness as the pressed steel rear drop out, so putting the two together was pretty simple. I MIG welded it.
