Bikes: Still have a few left!

I had the same, dual, hernia surgery about 20 yrs ago to fix a failed repair from back in the 60's. Pain was intense the 1st day but much better after that.

I asked my surgeon how soon I could resume cycling? His answer: "Soon as you can stand the pain, but no lifting", so I began to ride a bit(couple of miles) 3 days after surgery. It was on a step thru, ladies Schwinn World Sport, and only on a nearby bike path. There was very little pain and I made a rapid recovery.

I stuck to the Schwinn and didn't swing a leg over my road bike or attempt any hills for about 2 months. Don
