Hello! Long time lurker, finally joined.
I have decided to get the new S-Works Roubaix to replace my 2005 Roubaix (the frame is the only thing that hasn't changed, all other components were upgraded at various times over the years).
My initial thoughts are to just go with the default SWorks options for saddle and tires and sort it out later.
- Saddle: I have Brooks Cambium C17 on my existing bike, the SWorks has the S-Works Phenom GT.
- Tires: I have Conti GP 4000S II Black Chili 700x25 on my existing bike vs S-Works Turbo 2Bliss Ready 700x26
Pedals: I now have the Ultegra PD-6800. Will stick to this given marginal difference with Dura-Ace.
Also planning on swapping out the 11-28 cassette with 11-36, this has worked for
others, so I'm not expecting any surprises.
Thoughts? Any thing else I should watch out for? These forums have been a huge wealth of very useful info
