In my experience, mountain bikers/gravel/cyclocross riders are more laid back and less prone to elitist attitudes.

In other words... some dude riding a $2,500 Trek Fuel with full suspension is less likely to look down and smirk at someone who rides a hardtail entry level $500 Trek with a Suntour fork.
