Yep [MENTION=413240]francophile[/MENTION], its always a bitter pill to lose a great find. Planned to give Habitat a more honest price/donation because I admire the work they do. They also got a Harry Havnoonian Ti bike in the same donation. I dont know anything about his shop, but it was clearly a special donation. All that being said, flipping a good deal isn't a crime. i've done it myself. Not the same circumstances but to each his own.
Crazy stuff. I will say though, while I didn't get the Bianchi for its $150 list, less than 15 days later, an exceptionally-priced Behringer fell in my lap unexpectedly and came with a French pal.
Not scoring the Bianchi was pivotal in my being able to pick up the other two, so a silver lining was found.
It's not uncommon to stumble across a treasure chest when walking away from a couple of gems
