Well, out of all of mine in there various configurations I've got one steel under 20 lbs. Yet it's a newer bike of mid 90s vintage and sporting Athena 11 speed stuff, not vintage.

It weighs in at 19 lbs 9 ozs ready to ride with pedals and both bottle cages. This weight was taken right after swapping on the Shamal wheels. Oh and running 700 x 25 tires so not the smallest or lightest....

This is built with Excell Podium steel and the painted frame weighed just 3 lbs 10 ozs. The fork unfortunately is not matching. It is Excell Eco which was a bit heavier and it weighs 1 lb 9 ozs.

Now my 1987 Paramount is 19 lbs even but it needed a carbon fork, carbon handlebars, and a set of 1400 gram wheels to get there. And my Lemond Tourmelet built with Reynolds 853 is under 20 too but it also has C.F. fork.
