One early version of the twin tube design came from Saxon during the mid 1930's .
Another odd ball design from just after WW2 was the Rench,Paris Galiber . An even earlier version of this design was the very rare Schuz Funiculo. Pictures of one are on the web


One of the reasons of the number of strange frame designs in the uk during the 40's and 50's was because of the strict rules on press advertizing in both amateur & professional cycling . Hence a frame that really stood out got round it.

Short wheel base were all the rage during the 30's and 40's to the 50's in the UK . Saxon,Sun,Baines,Paris,Claud Butler. Most were built by small artistan companies.
