I think I'll most likely try the swap, probably wait a couple months, Garage is not air conditioned so I do most bike work outside the summer months. And I need to do some research on the brifters, I don't like the stem shifters on the Le Tour, and the down tube shifters seem suicidal... I usually ride a a flat bar hybrid, so I could do a flat bar conversion w/trigger shifters too.
