You don't need to mess with Luna kits, they open them up and make sure they're good to go before slapping their sticker on the motor. Unless there's a noticeable issue with noise, leave it alone.
The BBSHD I bought last year from themand it did not get opened up. It was factory spec and was pretty beat after about 300 miles. Not for sure but it could of caused the binding I had. I stuffed (not over doing it) it with

Luna is very helpful if something goes wrong with your purchase. They do not let emails to their support group sit. I recommend them if your going to buy a kit from my experience.
