All but 1 of my bikes are 25-40 years old, so the point you make of it being a 10yo bike and components really doesnt resonate much. I get that its old tech, but(in my eyes) there is a ton of value in quality components that are 10 years old...or even older.
I rode 23mi today on a 30yo Miyata with 25yo tricolor Ultegra derailleurs, 9sp Ultegra STIs, and a modified compact double from the late 80s. Its my go to road bike.
Everything shifts perfectly, works just how it should, and i am really not missing anything.
It may be a 10yo bike, but its a quality frame so not just some generic 'alpha' aluminum Trek frame.
The components may be older, but if they are in great cosmetic and mechanical condition...then they are of value, even with newer versions available.
The listed rate seems high, sure. How much $ can/would you spend to get a UsA made butted titanium frame with an excellent drivetrain(only 1 cog missing from current generation) and a solid cockpit? Thats how much the bike is worth.
Probably $1300 to me, assuming no changes are needed.
Thats high, yes, but again i dont see much difference between a 10yo titanium frame in excellent condition and a new frame.
Bbb pricing is absurd as the frame and fork alone are worth +/- around that.
