I've never ridden a true, 'Crank Forward' design but always thought If you tried to push any watts Into the pedals your knee's would take a beating and standing would not work. So from what I can see a true crank forward would need gears. I really don't know anything about the Hyper brand other than they make BMX bikes.
Do take a look because they did show a bike like mine except with a belt drive, no chain to oil.

That seat tube bend, makes the bike fit rider's like the old bikes of 30,40,50 years ago without such a long frame that would be heavier
and cost more to make. Being shorter may be why this frame feels so good, especially when turning.
The way this bike rides was a total surprise, but for all I know they are all like this.
