No worries. I should have looked harder and put my brain into gear before answering. Whichever way you are still going to have to put on some down tube cable stops. Once those are in place... you get more options. You have already thrown away the concept of original by fitting or proposing to fit different bars and brake levers but want to keep a pair of Golden Arrow shifters,

If I had that Apollo I would stick some new bar tape on it and keep it for 'personal rides'. I'd stick a longer seat post and handlebar stem in the 850 for the family stuff.
