today i did a little experiment. rode my 11 mile
loop i do daily. first lap i did with a 10mm spacer underneath the stem. averaged 17.8mph. pulled over and slammed the stem. averaged 20.1 the next lap. this is as close to science as i've got. btw...i was about as comfortable on both laps.
