When I say minimalist I mean physical size. I can also get batteries many places on the road if my Eneloop's run dry.

There are many 1xAA torches some of them brighter than 300 lumens like some of the 1xAA Zebralights.

A 4xAA light is bulkier than I want since this light will be sharing space with a larger light.
