1- you arent actually OCD(which is often times debilitating)- you are just particular about something. YUGE difference and keeping that in mind may help.
2-I have a tig'd Taiwan steel frame with a lugged fork. Havent ever thought twice about it- and its as symmetrical as any other bike of mine that is a lugged frame and fork. Both fork ends are the same length, curve, etc- totally symmetrical.

The fact that its lugged doesnt stick out, especially since the fork is the same color as the frame.
