meh, it's not just lower cost bikes that break. i've seen plenty of high dollar frames crack as well; frames that weren't abused.
if mongoose won't help you out, save up for a nicer frame, and swap your parts. then proceed to upgrade/replace other things as the break/wear out. or whatever.
