I think it's because of the special design for the CF fiber orientation specified by Peugeot for the bike, plus the oversized tube diameter.

Your bike's frameset seems to be in great condition. A good sign is all the tube lug junction reinforcing rings seem to be intact and not cracked. PY10FC that led a hard life tend to lose these rings after corrosion gets under them and they literally crack and just fall off. The seatpost clamp ant the lug seems to be also in good condition. Many PY10FC owners killed their bikes when they overtightened the clamps and the clamp ears cracked off..... so be easy on that clamp when you fiddle around with your seatpost height. I'd use some friction compound that they sell these days for modern bikes between the seatpost and the clamp to help avoid having to overtighten the clamp to keep your heigh adjustment.
Most of the decals for the bike are available from third party decal sellers at eBay., athough I still cannot find the one that says "racing team" on the right side of the top tube. I think Velocals sells the decal that says "FIBRE DE CARBONE" on the left side of the top tube. I remember looking at it very closely on their site and it is a bit off on the font style on a couple of letters, but should be good enough if you have to replace the one on your bike.
Thanks for the info. Yours is a real beaut. My biggest worry isn't that there is a crack because I looked pretty hard, but that its all going to come unglued on me. I've seen lots of people here and elsewhere say that its a big problem with these lugs. And as cool as those 80s Peugeot stripes are, I kind of like the stealth look. Maybe I'll put decals on if I decide to sell it.
