Is the opinion that women are less likely to engage in debates about bicycle brand "sexist"? Hardly. Sounds pretty damn accurate to me, nor is the observation insulting to men.
As a male, you don't need to make sure that everyone is held equally accountable. Men are held less accountable, so you have nothing to make up for by not giving women a "pass".
