I hear it all the time "don't you get cold riding your bike in the winter" - NO, you're working your butt off! I've started asking people if they every cross-country/nordic ski, around here, that gets about 50% of people to understand.

With a short commute, driving on a sub-zero F day is miserable because the car never warms up much for the drive. So I can shiver in my car for 25 minutes or work up a sweat on my bike for about 45 minutes.
