As well and given how many times I have knocked off an h-bar end plug, I decided I'd rather have the Junction A box under the stem and out of the way, not as pretty, but maybe safer.
I’ve also knocked out quite a few plugs, but the junction box version I’ve seen seems pretty snug and I wonder if it perhaps has an expanded plug of some sort (I’m going to check that out). I don’t mind the box under my stem but don’t want to use the rubber strap to do it since the bar/stem combo are being painted to match the frame (shallow thought I know). Right now the box is under my barfly mount and my headlight for early mornings goes on the bars. With the new set up I’m hoping to keep everything tidy on the mount.
