I have a high end simplex front derailleur and can find some Simplex down tube shifters. Might be able to put a stronglight crank on it as well. Have to check at the bike exchange to see if they have one hanging on the wall.
I think you'd be on the right track to go with a Simplex FD and shifters, hopefully ones that match the RD, and yes, if you have a Stronglight crankset, it would be a bonus. I'd also ditch the rear wheel's spoke protector, it's not fitting for a racing bike.
