Personally, I own the same $160 [current price] set of rollers from Performance that a few others have posted on and I use them whenever the weather doesn't permit me to ride outdoors. I honestly couldn't justify spending more than $200 on rollers. I didn't see the benefit of the others without going to something like the E-motion rollers which start somewhere around $700-800.

That being said, if you have the mechanical savvy to be able to modify a treadmill to be long enough and wide enough to work with a bike, will support fast enough speed (20+ mph?, if not higher) and have an emergency kill.... that'd be the way to go.
