At 6'5", I'm always a touch too tall for Miatas, and that ends up being the true deal breaker. A C5 Z06 is a great car, and I'm a fan of C5s in general (you can fit a bike in the back of the long glass coupes, like you can in my Camaro). Don't know why Mazda put the NC's shifter so far to the right of the driver--my Z28's 6-speed is tucked nice and close to me, and really the ergonomics of it are well-sorted for my height (at the very least). The sound from the intake/headers/cats/loud exhaust ranges from burly-yet-friendly to apocalyptic-bent-on-revenge. The accompanying shove is great, too.

I thought the shifter was in a perfect location. Just lay you arm on the console and shift with your fingers. You don't even need to move your hand. Sweet!
