I typically stay away from these "LBS" threads. I own one. The OP's problem at my shop would be addressed at no cost to him and the $45 tune would be done gratis. Of course at my shop I include 2 hours of labor with every new bike I sell and usually one free tune up with the used ones.
As someone pointed out, LBSs are up against some stiff competition now. Making it as a brick front operation is not easy. I know. But if we expect to stay in business, we have to offer more than can be had over the phone or the computer.
My advice is if you still have not received satisfaction with the owner, contact the manufacturer. I am assuming it is a Fuji "Roubaix". My experience with them is they are concerned with customer staisfaction.
