No one in Chicago should ever want for fine sandwiches. Our cup runs over.

My overall favorite is probably the pastrami at Manny's, on the near south side. An unoffical supplier to at least some of the BFFG Meat n' Greet.

Always better on an onion roll.

Another excellent option is the Cubano at Taqueria La Oaxaqueña, on Milwaukee Avenue near Paulina (we rolled right by it on the TDC today). This sandwich...it's a Mexican torta, roughly the size and shape of a flatted NCAA-regulation football, containing generous servings of chorizo sausage, milanesa (fried, breaded steak), guacamole, ham, red onions, cheese, and a split-and-grilled kielbasa (which has a tendency to roll out, and around).

Not to mention the many wonderful sausages at Hot Doug's.
