Popcorn thread.
But since you asked, I mostly listen to talk radio on my usual commute. It’s free-flowing and doesn’t require much focus.

My favorite calls in to talk shows are replies to rants about cyclists, and I refer to myself as the
Station’s Number One Fan among Boston’s Cyclists.
My mind would wander with audiobooks. When I listened to them in the car. I found I often had to rewind.
I listen to music most often on weekend long rides. FYA my playlist is on page 2 of my BF profile; about half the tunes are Golden Oldies before 1980, and the others before 1950, with many Big Band numbers.
I have a selected playlist of up tempo songs with interesting chord changes that I call “Hill Country,” including for example "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones.
BTW for the naysarers I have previously posted:

I agree that one's own selected music really is performance enhancing, and leaves no tell-tale detectable residue in the bloodstream.
