Ditto, inner tubes. I just slit an old tube into ribbons a little wider than standard bar tape. Then wrapped it around the existing thin plasticky tape that was already on the bike. Really cuts the chatter and vibration on chipseal, without adding much bulk. Before then I used foam but those were bulky.

I've intended for months to wrap some proper bar tape around the tube/tape, but still haven't found that round tuit.
