The packaging said for hex nuts - model 10LW. When I saw them, I was just scrounging through Hardwick's looking for something (anything!) to make dimples. I purchased a C-clamp, these things and some other bits that i thought might work. Hardwick's is that kind of place.

I thought these would be almost usable right out of the package. Unfortunately, I had to do some grinding and such so, yes, what you have would work as well or better.
