I run a 2nd Gen Rally on my '71 Paramount and agree, "the shifting is crap." I tolerate mine. My triple is 50-42-31 (unknown vintage 144BCD triplizer on a NR crank) and 13-32 Suntour 5 speed. I can't imagine ever running a 57T!
The 57 came on the bike. it has Zero miles on it.. LOL. Its a novelty to have it on there however it is messing up everything. Its probably coming off.
