Overshoes for platform pedals

I'm wondering what other folks use for overshoes on their commutes. I ride 4 miles one way, which takes 20-30 minutes depending on conditions. For about 8 years I've used the not-so-attractive Gore Bike Wear city overshoes. I'm a US men's size 10 and found the Gore overshoes size Lg to work well.

I keep a set of rain gear at work and at home and the overshoes at work finally gave out today so I'm in the market for a new pair. It looks like a lot of review sites focus on clipless overshoes, which wouldn't fit the shoes I commute in (some Chrome Dima slip-ons).

I'm looking for something that's primarily waterproof and don't really care about insulation. What do you wear? What are the pro's and con's? How does sizing work for you?
