I was just pedaling in this morning and thinking, last year on may 19th, I had to drive halfway and ride in, because by the end of my ride home, about the last 4 miles or so, I was so tired, I just didn't have it in me. This morning I had to keep telling myself not to jump on the pedals because I still have tonight and tomorrow left and I want to make sure I'm still feeling as good as I do today. My average speed last year on that 9 mile trip was a little over 9mph, now this week I've varied from 13 to 16, so I've gotten faster AND it's gotten easier.
I LOVE the way I feel when I stick to it, I'm actually considering trying to make this a car free month as far as work goes, we will see how that goes a few weeks in. Thanks for all the kind words, I used to wish for a longer ride when I used to live 8 miles from work, but then I got out of shape before getting this job, now I'm getting back into shape and remembering why I wanted a longer ride!
