I got back on the road bike for a couple rides during the week long holiday that the country just had. I was a little over three weeks past suffering a small fracture near my elbow in one of the bones on my left forearm.

The first ride I did was 11 miles, at a not terrible pace and a little climbing mixed in before it started to rain.

The second ride I got in was about 23 miles that I did with a friend, who was probably riding a road bike for the first time (one of mine and size too small for him probably). That ride was really slow at an 11 mph average to make sure my friend didn't blow himself up and proceed to hate cycling. It was a fun relaxing ride, without raising my heart rate. I didn't know some of those steady climbs could be so easy if one just does them sloooooooooooowly.
