Work resumed on the Holdsworth this week and I actually did a short test run late this afternoon. The rear brakes are not very strong, have to sort that out but the fronts are surprisingly good. The artist brush decal repair looks decent and maintains the originality of the bike. Ride position is comfortable but the top tube is awfully close when standing! The Campagnolo front and rear derailleurs work surprising well but not quick. The RD cable wants to bend at the braze-on and I've temporarily put a small clamp on the chainstay. Is there a better solution?
The bars will be wrapped in light brown cloth tape. I have a brown cotton duck tool wrap I may also install. The "shortie" Weinmann mudguards are starting to look better.
install.
