Wanting some alternative hand positions I purchased a set of Ergon GP5 Grips, Large. Went to install them and found they won't work with the handlebar on my bike as the bar ends are not round. The top ~1/3 of the bar-ends have rubber for vibration dampening and the Ergon grips are designed to tighten on a full round bar-end. Is a new handlebar my only option to get these Ergon grips to work?
