It's been 19 years since my father passed. But in 2016, a national newcast reported on the 50's anniversary of the Beatles last concert at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. No cameras were allowed. My father was a TO cop and had complained to me about that night for decades, what a bloody nightmare it was. Leading off the newscast was a still pic and there's Dad, second from the left, sweaty armpits, sandwiched between tortured amps and screaming girls. I look it up every fathers Day, smile and say hello.
My Dad would have been in full agreement with yours, he was not a fan of the Beatles or rock at all. I on the other hand am a huge fan of most all classic rock and am fortunate enough to have passed it on to my only child, my son. I can't imagine not having had music in common, very lucky indeed.
