Are you talking about a bike with frame couplers, or are you talking about an easy way to detach the rear derailleur so it doesn't get crushed without losing your index adjustments?


If it is the latter, don't detach the cable at all - just let the derailleur dangle from its cable in a safe location in the box. If you need more slack, ease the housing out of the slotted chainstay guide. You don't need to completely unhook the cable.
