I bought the Buckshot when it first came out and last summer I got a new iPhone and then I started having connection difficulties. It used to pair effortlessly, and after I upgraded from the SE iPhone to a 7, ( my first new iPhone was the SE, but upgraded within a week cause it was too small, though it connected just fine and I loved the small size for biking) the 7 took forever to pair and would lose the connection if I paused, so I’d have to start all over again. I emailed Outdoor Technologies and I think we went back and forth with some suggestions, but nothing worked, so they offered me a very nice discount on the 2.0, but couldn’t guarantee that it would be any better.

The 2.0 worked perfectly right from the get go. I just push the power button and the voice tells me it’s powering on, pairing, paired. I don’t have to hold down those buttons anymore and listen for the tiny beeps. My husband still has the 1 and has to fuss with pairing on his android.

The only thing I don’t like about the 2.0 is the clip, I think it gets in the way of strapping to the handlebars. I was looking to get a integrated Garmin/GoPro mount and had a lightbulb moment of attaching the buckshot to a camera mount. So I’m in the process of trying to find a small camera mount
