I think colored bar tape can look great, or terrible depending on the frame color/decals.

If the decals dominate the frame, bar colors can take away from that and look strange. I’m a big fan of black with black saddle or brown with brown saddle. That match works on most frames.

This super clean frame looks awesome with yellow tape and the yellow top tube highlight though. It’s giving me ideas.
