I, of course, did not need any water, so it had no appeal to me. I wondered if I should remove it from the roadway. When you factor in having to park the bicycle, it's really no easier for me than for someone to hop out of their car.

Anyway, whilst I was deliberating, a guy came from across the street and retrieved said items. It was unclear whether he had lost them, or if he was a vulture.
I still think street signs are probably cheaper than painting the name of the street on the road.
